Streetwise and Maccabi GB
Healthy Living Workshop
Streetwise and the Maccabi GB Sports Department are pleased to be offering all Jewish Primary Schools the interactive and informative Year 5 Healthy Living Workshop which will take place during March of this year.
Streetwise and Maccabi GB are running this workshop in partnership with the current government initiative, "Change4Life" which is a society-wide movement aiming to prevent people from becoming overweight by encouraging them to eat better and move more.
The aim of the Streetwise and Maccabi GB workshop is to provide young people with skills and understanding of what it means to live a healthy and active life.
The workshop focuses on lifestyle, healthy eating and physical exercise through games, group activities and fun and informative exercises.

Leadership by Streetwise:
A unique programme training the youth of today to become the leaders of tomorrow.
The programme consists of a long residential weekend in December, a number of Hands on Events throughout February to April and a graduation weekend at the end of June. Participants are able to choose to focus their training in the field of Jewish Community Leadership or Sports Leadership.
Dates: Long Weekend 18-21st December
Ages: School years 10-13

Supporting new year 7 pupils as they start life at secondary school
- Advising on homework and time management
- Building confidence
- Creating street awareness
Dates: London - 19th and 26th November
Manchester - 11th and 18th November
Time: London - 6pm to 8.15pm

Anti- Bullying Week 16th - 20th November
During the month of November Streetwise will be running Anti-Bullying sessions in Jewish primary schools around the country. The session will include:
- Defining and exploring the four categories of Bullying, including; physical, social, verbal and cyber.
- Recognising the roles of the people who may be involved in a bullying situation; the bully, the target and the bystander.
- Learning through creative methodologies ways of overcoming and dealing with bullying.
- Giving the clear message that no one deserves to be bullied and that there are people for the pupils to talk to and be heard. They should not suffer in silence.
